Panozzo
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out each 240g pizza dough ball into a round shape, about 8-10 inches in diameter. Brush one side of each pizza round with a generous amount of olive oil. This will help create a crisp, golden exterior once cooked and stop it sticking. Fold one side over the other to form a semi-circle.
- Place each oiled dough circle onto a preheated pizza stone or pizza tray in the oven. Pre-cook for 3-5 minutes. Remove the dough from the oven and set aside.
- Evenly sprinkle the 100g mozzarella in the inside of the dough. Return to the oven until melted. Add any sandwich fillings of your choice. Garnish with fresh herbs, a drizzle of olive oil, or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
- Topping Ideas: You can experiment with different sandwich fillings. Try using pesto, ham, and cheese for a classic combo, or go for something more adventurous with grilled vegetables and truffle oil.
