Pizza Twists (Afternoon Tea)

    Prepare the Dough:

  • Divide the pizza dough into 8 even portions. Roll each portion into a small, long rectangle (about 10 -15cm long).
  • Assemble the Twists:

  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce (about 1 tbsp) on each rectangle of dough. Sprinkle each with a generous amount of shredded mozzarella. Add your desired toppings (chopped small) evenly across the dough. Be sure not to overload the dough with toppings to ensure the twists stay intact.
  • Shape the Twists:

  • Using scissors, cut 3 notches along both edges of the dough at an angle. Twist them together over the centre to form a braid.
  • Bake the Twists:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown, crispy on the outside, and the cheese has melted and begun to bubble.
